Portico Asset Advisory was founded to serve small and mid-sized commercial real estate owners who recognize their properties have untapped potential but lack the time, structure, or operational oversight to fully unlock it. We operate as performance-aligned partners, working directly with ownership to improve net operating income, strengthen cash flow, and increase overall portfolio valuation.
Our approach is rooted in execution. Unlike traditional advisory firms that operate solely at the strategic level, Portico combines ownership experience with operational implementation. We focus on identifying inefficiencies, modernizing systems, optimizing rents, improving expense management, and creating disciplined processes that translate directly into measurable financial results. We succeed only when the asset performs better.
About the Founders
Portico’s founders bring firsthand experience as property owners and operators, having acquired and managed investment properties while overseeing renovation, maintenance, and value-add execution. In addition, the founders have built and managed home service and remodeling operations, overseeing renovations, maintenance, and on-the-ground execution. That operational background shapes our philosophy: strategy without implementation does not create value. Real performance improvements require hands-on involvement and disciplined follow-through.
Portico’s leadership brings formal training in entrepreneurship and business strategy from Babson College and Kansas State University’s College of Business, combining academic rigor with hands-on ownership experience. Our focus remains on Midwest markets where strong fundamentals exist but operational inefficiencies are common. We work alongside owners focused on improving performance, whether their strategy is long-term ownership or positioning the asset for a premium exit.
